Bronchitis and birthdays.

So, it seems I've come down with a nice case of bronchitis. Lovely, eh? Hacking up the same green stuff that's coming out of my nose every time I blow it. :)

Anyway, a friend's birthday just passed. She joked about how old she feels and of course I shushed her. But after I did, I thought about my own birthdays. Don't I always claim to feel old, even if I'm not?

I guess we're all old in a way, though. Whether it's by society's definition or our own. I've known old people with young souls and young people with old souls and I'm not sure which is a better way to live. All depends on the person, really.

That's true of everything, when you think about it. It all depends. And all we can do is wait and see if we ever do figure out what happens to those "ifs."

Until then, some Snowman Peeps and a pair of pearl earrings can make you feel loads better. < 3

Oh! And whoever can figure out the name of this song gets brownie points:

I could cross the world in search of love
but nothing comes for free
and i put everything that's part of me
into just being happy

But that's the way that things turn out
it's never perfect in design
so i'll work my best to be the one
that you wanted to see all this time

Chorus
you're the sunset on this lonely beach
you're the drops of rain in desert heat
you are everything and more to me
you're amazing
and i cannot express in perfect words
and i can't impress because it'd all be slurred
i can never explain it in any way
just how thankful I am for your love

I've wandered here for quite some time
and been wondering about my life
and i'm thinking that something might be refined (? - not sure about this line)
because there's something that's not quite right

but i'm telling you that i'm thankful for
everything you've given to me
cause you've cleaned up my soul
and you've made me whole
and you've even cleaned up the debri

Chorus 2x
